Wild Antilope

The concept is defined as a reunion with the primary human need for heating; between rough natural materials, a fire was lit manually by a man. Cyclops is a radiator that expresses the description above, through the choice of natural materials, textures and colors, as well as by incorporating in the design of the heating surface, the manual adjustment of the temperature. The autonomy and the portability of the product were also determining factors in order for the standard radiator to meet both the nowadays consumers’ demands for flexibility, economy and modern design and the basic need for living in conditions of thermal comfort. Our aim is to propose a product for the market that will be easy to use and manufacture (function), will be affordable (economy) and in terms of modern art (aesthetics).

Eleftheria Square
Proposal for the competition for the remodeling of Eleftheria Square In Thessaloniki

Aluminium Nature

The proposal intends to bring together the history of the site with the lively contemporary city of Thessaloniki and the plans for its future. The contemporary urban square emerges as a fabricated, human place ? an entity containing life, history, memory, culture, myth and sociability. An urban opening, where people can communicate and interact with the elements of space. Through the architectural design and the support of technological applications, a scenario is introduced, networking the square to the city, thus allowing the  revelation of the entire historic center . At the same time, the space holds the main features of a square that will allow its integration to the daily activities of the residents and ensure its vibrancy throughout the day .The main idea is based on the concept of "gate" as the borderline between two situations.  The concept is incorporated to all individual studies (museological , architectural , landscaping , lighting) and offers a holistic approach to the issue. The square is designed as the entrance to the city from the sea and the concept of the 'gate' acquires meaning  in multiple levels. It is located between the past and the present (memory) , the natural and the urban landscape, the in situ information and its networking to the cultural landscape of Thessaloniki.

Lope Dining table
1st prize for the Porada product design contest.

Wild Antilope

The Lope table is an extendable dining table. The main goal of our design for the Lope dining table is to incorporate all the merits and characteristics of the Porada brand and express them through a unified identity, in a product of high quality. The simple design aims to a timeless piece of furniture.
Lope is an extendable dining table consisting of two parts: a piece of solid Ash Canaletta Wallnut Stained wood, and a White Matt Aluminium piece. The aluminium part refers to our industrial future and, like an envelope, it gracefully incorporates the wooden part, which expresses our relation to nature with its antilope-inspired legs. The aluminium part is press-formed by aluminium folded like an envelope. Within its body there are support ribs for additional strength. The wooden part incorporates engraved slots on the back side that facilitate the expansion through the sliding movement. A stopper is formed directly on the back side of the aluminium and folded into the wooden engraved part. The design of the wooden legs  is inspired by the legs of an antilope, a symbol of natural elegance. When closed, the wooden part protrudes 30cm providing auxiliary space as a side table. When open, the extension can host another two persons on the long sides and the table another two on the short sides, giving ample space for 10 people in total. The Lope table makes use of  the materials that are vividly present in the design language of the Porada brand.  The sleek and smooth Ash Canaletta Wallnut Stained wood expresses the elegance of nature. The White Matt aluminium complements the design by expressing the future. Materials come together to celebrate both handcrafting and industrial production methods.

Athen's Heart

Athens Heart Design Award 2013

The construction is a way-out, an escape point from the busy environment of the shopping center and at the same time an opportunity for the visitors to reflect on their relationship with others and connect with them in an act of selflessness. The adoption of the archetypal form of a house is a reference to children's drawings, causing feelings of immediacy, intimacy and warmth.
The small structure reflects its surroundings through the use of mirrors. This contributes the sense of isolation for those inside it, as they can unexpectedly disappear from the intrusive environment of the mall, even in plain sight, since the construction is located in the atrium of the building, visible from everywhere.
Apart from the concentration of "offers" for charity, the structure-showcase indirectly advertises products on its shelves. This may become a business motive for the stores of the mall, so as to create a general feeling for charity.

1ID win the 1st Prize for the Porada International Design Award 2013.

The jury of the PORADA INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 2013 has just announced the winners of this competition: an event sponsored by Porada Arredi srl, a leading company in the furnishings and fittings sector, and POLI.design, a Milan Polytechnic Consortium, with the additional support of the Association of Industrial Design (ADI). The announcement took place at Palazzo Natta, administrative centre of the Como Campus of Milan Polytechnic.

The winning design in the Professional category was called “Lope”: an extendable dining-table constituted partly of solid ash and partly of matt-effect white aluminium. The latter element adds a very contemporary touch, elegantly enclosing the wooden section of the table. The intention of the two Greek designers, Regina Antonopoulou and Stylianos Axiotakis, was to express our relationship with nature, an aim reflected in the form of the table-legs, inspired by those of an antelope.

The dream of online architectural identity services.

In Summer 2013 along along with other architects we created a new team that would collaborate with other experts of all fields, in order to provide people with innovative architectural identity services. ONE ID ARCHITECTS was born, a cooperative that is hoping to change the way that people engage with architects.

People approach us in search of a concept that would reflect their attitude to life on their spaces. We listen to you and we carefully design spaces with character. We approach design in a holistic way to provide you with the best solutions.

The birth
The dream of online architectural identity services.

In Summer 2013 along along with other architects we created a new team that would collaborate with other experts of all fields, in order to provide people with innovative architectural identity services. ONE ID ARCHITECTS was born, a cooperative that is hoping to change the way that people engage with architects.

People approach us in search of a concept that would reflect their attitude to life on their spaces. We listen to you and we carefully design spaces with character. We approach design in a holistic way to provide you with the best solutions.
